The Recluse Trust
What is the Trust?
The Recluse Trust is a legally incorporated entity run by a group of volunteers from the local community.
When Was the Trust Formed?
When the new Recluse Hall was being planned and built, the Trust was legally formed in 2005 in order to oversee the building and maintenance of the hall.
Who Manages the Trust?
The Trust is managed by the, currently nine, board members. The board members have changed over the years, each replacement voted on by the existing board members. The members gather monthly in the Recluse Hall where plans and decisions are made. These meetings are open to be attended by anyone in the community.
What Does the Trust Do?
The Trust's primary role is to maintain the Recluse Hall by handling all costs and labor that this requires. Their secondary role is to bring the community together through events, charity and the use of the hall for private events.
Most events organised by the Trust serve multiple purposes. As an example, the annual James Heald Memorial Rodeo brings everyone together to remember those that have been a part of the community but are no longer with us. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Trust to maintain the funds needed to keep up the longevity of the hall and continue planning events. In addition, it's a day for local vendors to come and sell their wares, local rodeo teams to shine and win prizes and of course provide exciting, free entertainment to any spectator who joins us for the day.

All members are unpaid volunteers giving their time and skills to better the community.
Planning, organizing and overseeing events along with maintaining the Recluse Hall are some of the tasks board members take care of.
